It’s happened again.

Every time I launch a new course, programme or service, the same thing happens.

Everything’s going great, I’m really excited, the ideas are flowing, people are interested, I set a launch date, a couple of people sign up, and then…

The brakes go on.

A voice inside me says, Hang on, what are you thinking? You can’t do this, who do you think you are? People don’t want your coaching, or your help. There are tons of other coaches out there with better results, better testimonials, shinier hair… It’s best if you stop right now, and pretend none of this ever happened. It’s better to give refunds to a couple of people than make a fool of yourself. Why don’t you go and get a proper job, a safe job? Why can’t you just be happy with the way your life is now, why do you always have to try to “improve your life”? Let’s stay safe, and not get hurt. Let’s just live a normal life.

Of course, I know who the voice belongs to.

It’s not me.

It’s the younger Hazel, the child who was left out of games at school, was told she’d never have any real friends, was too boring, too short, too clever to fit in. She’s scared, and she wants to be safe. So she wants me to hide, just like she’s always done. Stay quiet, pretend to be shy. Don’t draw too much attention.

But that Hazel doesn’t run the show any more. I’ve done the mindset work, I’ve investigated where this voice comes from. I know what she wants, and I know that I don’t have to do what she says any more.

And the Relax, Recharge and Reset Weekend is too important.

It’s going to be amazing.

I owe it to the 12 women who are waiting for it, who need that break from their real lives.

The 12 women who are right now desperate for some space to think, and feeling alone and overwhelmed with their lives.

The women who will find their inner peace and true purpose during the yoga and meditation sessions, even if they don’t regularly practice yoga or meditation at the moment.

They need it, so I have to step up and offer it to them.

So I have two options. I can either push her aside, tell her I’m in the driver’s seat now, so she’s not in control. Tell her she’s not important.

Or I can show her compassion. Listen to her fears, and soothe her anxieties. Tell her that yes, things might go wrong and I might make mistakes. I might even embarrass myself during a live-stream, or have some negative comments on one of my posts.

But I won’t stop.

I can’t stop.

I have nothing to feel guilty about, and neither does she. As long as we’re trying our best, and being ourselves, whatever anyone else thinks is up to them, and outside our control.

And as long as I keep believing in my purpose, and keep trying to help my clients, then everything will turn out just fine.

Even if it takes longer than anticipated to sell all the spaces, it will all work out as it’s meant to.

I believe strongly in the value I’m offering, and I believe that the people who need to find out about the Weekend will do so. Just as the people who need to work with me for hypnotherapy or coaching always find me.

It’s not my job to know exactly how that will happen, but it’s my job to keep showing up and not give up and not quit.

And without the mindset work – the journaling, affirmations, investigations and reprogramming – I would still be listening to that little Hazel, and letting her take control again.

If this resonates with you at all, let me know. If you keep sabotaging your own success and you’re not sure why, or how to stop it, get in touch. I’m right there with you, going through different steps along the same journey, and I’d love to support you to get the success you desire.

Oh, and if you’re interested in joining us for the Relax, Recharge and Reset Weekend, that’s cool too. Early bird tickets are still available, and I’m adding a brand new bonus which will really help you with your mindset.

Thanks for reading. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
